High Country Tek (HCT) is located in Nevada City, California.  Nestled on the western slopes of the Sierra-Nevada mountain range, we are close to Sacramento, CA and Reno, NV. Winter and summer sport locations are 30 to 45 minutes away. Nevada City and Grass Valley, known for their history during the California Gold Rush now cater to tourism and many environmentally conscious industries.

POSITION / JOB TITLE: Electronic Controls Engineer


RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Review customer source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of the component. Prepare preliminary design proposal(s), refine and complete design after review meetings. Perform liaison function between Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to address any manufacturing/design, cost reduction or customer repair/rejection issues, including implementing product improvements. Participate in engineering and general design review as required. Prepare technical data such as qualification test procedures, acceptance test procedures, reports, component maintenance manuals, etc. Interact with customers on engineering design and product technical support. Communicate with vendors to review parts supplied or proposed. Collaborate as required with internal groups including purchasing, quality control, sales, production, and accounting.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelors of Engineering/Mechatronics Degree or equivalent from four-year College. Four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with fluid power systems applications, operations and controls. Understanding of Electronics, Electrical Solutions, Input/Output Devices, and Industrial Networks. Ability to select and specify controller architecture and interface hardware. Experience with (IEC61131-3) logic programming.
