High Country Tek (HCT) is located in Nevada City, California.  Nestled on the western slopes of the Sierra-Nevada mountain range, we are close to Sacramento, CA and Reno, NV. Winter and summer sport locations are 30 to 45 minutes away. Nevada City and Grass Valley, known for their history during the California Gold Rush now cater to tourism and many environmentally conscious industries.

Electro-Hydraulic Sales Engineer


Responsible for the performance and development of all sales and related activities in assigned market, including developing new sales opportunities, meeting with distributors and/or existing customers to promote electro-hydraulic system integration, and recommending the correct HCT electronic products to meet customer specific project requirements.


Responsibilities include the performance and development of an overall sales strategy for growth and profitability, sales and related activities in an assigned market, including developing new sales opportunities, meeting with distributors and/or existing customers to promote electro-hydraulic system integration, and recommending the correct HCT electronic products to meet customer specific project requirements. The position requires the development of plans and strategies to fully leverage existing customer and distributor base, including setting goals, plans and initiatives for growth, to create and conduct proposal presentations and written RFP/RFQ responses, and assists team members in preparation of proposals, presentations and written customer contact. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of current technical sales, application and marketing experience in electro-hydraulics or adjacent fluid power markets. Excellent communication skills and successful sales record to both small and large companies, using "Value Selling" and "Market Sensing" techniques and extensive supplier relationship management is necessary. Familiarity with contact management software and MS Office proficiency is essential. This job requires travel up to 50% of the time and working with a global team of professionals. Note that this is a field position and as such location is flexible for the qualified candidate. EE, mechatronics qualification and CFPS certification is an advantage.
